Your Protocols
The section of IRB Protocol Management called Your Protocols provides research investigators and study coordinators with a list of and access to their protocols with the IRB that were submitted online.
This is also the page where investigators download amendment, continuing review, and adverse event application forms for older protocols (i.e., protocols submitted to the IRB before IRB Protocol Management was available).

User Information
The section of IRB Protocol Management called User Information allows users to upload a current version of their CV, resume, or biosketch (i.e., a brief summary of professional / educational accomplishments) to the online system. A current CV, resume, or biosketch is required for all research investigators. Before the release of IRB Protocol Management, investigators were required to submit their current CV, resume, or biosketch with each new application. Using IRB Protocol Management, investigators only have to upload their current CV, resume, or biosketch once, which saves time and coordination.
This section also allows users to view their human subject protection training status (i.e., date of training or "incomplete"). Training is required for all investigators.

Completing a New Project Application
A new project application is broken down into four parts:
- Project Information (e.g., title, funding): view snapshot*
- Project Personnel: view snapshot*
- Research Protocol: view snapshot*
- Supporting Documents (e.g., consent form, survey instruments): view snapshot*

Once a new project application is APPROVED by the IRB, Your Protocols listing will be updated to reflect that the Protocol (see #08-016 in the below example) is now "Open" (i.e., approved).

You may click on the IRB # from Your Protocols listing to view your IRB-approved documents, start an amendment application, report the project as closed, report an adverse event, and download the approval letter.
Once you click on the IRB # from Your Protocols listing, you will be presented with the following:

This concludes our brief preview of our new IRB Protocol Management system. We will be offering various audio/video tutorials that go more in-depth, along with timesaving tips in the near future. We believe this new system will streamline the IRB process for our researchers, and encourage our researchers to provide feedback once they start using the system so that we may continue to make enhancements.
